Philmont Scout Reservation
June 2007 we had 12 Scouts and Scouters from Troop 42 attend Philmont Scout Reservation. Those that have been to Philmont will tell you that it's one of the best experiences of their lives. We will be taking another group in 2011. If you will be fourteen or older you will want to make this trip.

Florida Sea Base
In the summer of 2008 we took 11 Scouts and Scouters to the Florida Sea Base. We took one trek to the Key's Adventure and one coed trek on the Scuba Adventure with our sister crew 42.

National Scout Jamboree
We have 6 Scouts planning to attend the 2010 National Scout Jamboree. The National Jamboree is a once in a lifetime event with over 40,000 Scouts attending once every four years.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area
In the summer of 2009 we took 32 Scouts and Scouters to Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA).  Our outfitter of choice is North Country Canoe Outfitters in Ely, MN.
